X2ui 1.2 by DigitalRain84 X2ui 1.2 by DigitalRain84
Wallpaper: mega.nz/#!Vco23KwT!41ORcyKAFeQX7eSKPy5nxFyNCl-JSESiuLvFX_CulcY

Requires:
-HWiNFO www.hwinfo.com/
-SpeedFan www.almico.com/speedfan.php

I *strongly* recommend downloading the Wallpaper provided above. This skin uses transparent background *gifs that look fine on darker wallpaper, on a light one? Well, not so much.

Preview Video 2160p: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHsQj6…

Note: This is my first attempt at a Rainmeter skin. I created it for use with my monitor, which runs at 2160p, with 200% scaling in Windows. I can't say this is an entirely original concept, I got the idea from the UI used in the movie 'Oblivion'. www.gmunk.com/OBLIVION-GFX

Thanks.

Update 1.1
-Fixed Spacing issue with CPU identifier
-Fixed incorrect header on network module .ini that caused the histogram and line graph for outgoing network traffic to incorrectly display incoming traffic instead.

Update 1.2
-Changed color values on multiple objects and text
-Modified placement of Netbox Module line graphs and histograms

-To edit the Values, download the HWiNFO skin that monitor Voltage:
www.hwinfo.com/files/Rainmeter…

-Install the skin

-Right Click the Rainmeter Icon and select "Manage".
-You will see the list of skins you have installed. Right Click "HWiNFO" AND SELECT "Open Folder"
-This will open a window. Open the folder "resources"
-Open HWiNFOSharedMemoryViewer.exe
-You should see your motherboard in the list of hardware. Here is mine.
imgur.com/z1inxOv
-Make note of the ID "0Xf7067910", yours will probably be different.
-Right click the Voltages skin and select edit. (I suggest using Notepad++).
-On line 15, under [Varibles] you will see "12uiSensorID=0xf7067910"
-Change that number to your ID.

That will change your MB shared memory location that Rainmeter is reading to your specific hardware. You may have to do this for each sensor:

12uiSensorInstance=0x0
12uiVccin=0x2000000
12uiVcore=0x200000a
12uiVDRAM=0x200000d
12uiVTT=0x2000009
12uiVCCSA=0x200000b
12uiVcoreRef=0x2000005

But I doubt it.

If you want to change the CPU temp monitoring per core to use HW info, you have to have the HWinfo rainmeter plug installed and change each of the CPU temp measure to something like this

[MeasureCore1Temp]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=Plugins\HWiNFO.dll
HWiNFOSensorId=0xf0000400
HWiNFOSensorInstance=0x0
HWiNFOEntryId=0x1000000
HWiNFOType=CurrentValue
MinValue=0
MaxValue=75

This would need to be repeated for however many cores you are setting it up for.

Of course, using the values that HWiNFOSharedMemoryViewer.exe uses for your CPU temp. HWiNFOSensorId and HWiNFOSensorInstance will be the same for however many CPUs you have, but HWiNFOEntryId will be specific for each individual core. I am putting together a new i5 8600K system and this was easy. But on my old FX-6850 system I was testing the changes on originally, for some reason I was not able to get different HWiNFOEntryId values. No problem for me really there, as that system is going goodbye soon.

I'm a bit of a skin tweaker, i set things up for my own benefit. Just fyi, this rmskin package REFUSES to install the skin on my windows 7 x64 machine. says the skin can not be installed on my version of windows. wtf???

edit: Used WinRAR to unpack it, got to digging, really looks great. one thing has stopped me, and possibly others, from using it. Any way you can make an 8 core version? Thanks again.

Hi DigitalRain84
I very love your theme but when i install, module Core Temperature is not working :(
I had installed your requires:

Can you help me config or the solution for my trouble? Thank you so much.

My guess would be that you don't have SpeedFan startup with Windows. To see if I am correct, open SpeedFan manually, then refresh the CoreTemp widget. If it works, you need to make SpeedFan startup on Windows boot.

Not sure, it's made for use with Windows 10... Been awhile so not sure what versions of Rainmeter support which versions of Windows.

Nah, I made the icons by hand in Gimp. Eventually I may make more icons, but at the moment any time I spare on it (which admittedly isn't much) is spent working on weather widgets. Progress is slow. However, GIMP is easy to use.

It's working for me... maybe a temporary glitch? The wallpaper requires you to enter the key, which is right next to the link.

Looks awesome! Downloaded and installed SpeedFan, HWiNFO and the wallpaper, but when I open Voltages.ini in Notepad++ and change all the sensor numbers to my listed motherboard number, nothing happens. Any ideas?

You have a wrong or missing value somewhere. Open the .ini, copy everything and send it to me. No promises, but generally thats the issue. Alternatively, you may just have a motherboard that HWiNFO doesn't read well or at all.

you should be able to simply drag the widgets over and save a setup in Rainmeter Manager.
Right click on any widget and hover over "settings", then select "draggable"

I'm sure there's a way, but I am not sure how off the top of my head. One easy way would be to add the number of horizontal pixels to the existing x coordinate bix (the left one). So if you had 3 monitors at 1920x1080, and you wanted to move it one screen to the right, just add 1920 to whatever the existing coordinate is.

This is absolutely beautiful, although I can't use it because of Speedfans historical and still unresolved habit of making up data as it goes along. If you ever feel the urge, please change the set up to red everything off  HWiNFO which at least consistently gives accurate temperature reading.  I am unfortunately still  peasant and have no idea how to go about it.

The only other thing I need help with is how to change the drives to show my own?

Edit the .ini with Notepadd ++.
Hit Ctrl+F and find and replace all instances of whatever drive you want to change. If you wanted V: to be G: for instance, its as simple as changing all of the drive letters for that in the .ini. You must make sure though that you change the label section too, otherwise it would show that it's reading a different drive than what it really is.

And maybe one day I will.

I switched to HWiNFO about halfway through, and didn't feel like rewriting everything I already had completed.

Check the description, you have to have both hwinfo and speed fan installed. May have to edit shared memory values. Find them using HWiNFOs shared memory viewer.

Clicking on the wrong things, and also you will need to download the HWiNFO Skin, as that's what has the shared memory viewer. If I ever finish my weather modules, I'll release an update that includes it, but for now this is your best bet. www.hwinfo.com/files/Rainmeter…

On your windows task bar there is an arrow that will show hidden icons. Left click that. Then a box will open up. Right click the rain drop (Rainmeter). A menu will open up. At the top click manage. From there the Manage Rainmeter window will pop up. Right click the folder that says HWiNFO and select "Open Folder". In the window that opens, there will be a folder named "resources", open it. In that folder is where the HWiNFOSharedMemoryViewer.exe resides.

If by your core temps you mean your GPU core temps, this will also solve your problem.

Open X2ui\GPU\MGPU.ini

Make note of these lines:

/HWiNFO
[Variables]
; GPU 0
12uiGPU0id=0xe0002000
12uiGPU0SensorInstance=0x0
12uiGPU0Usage=0x7000000
12uiGPU0Temp=0x1000000
12uiGPU0Clock=0x6000000

; GPU 1
12uiGPU1id=0xe0002000
12uiGPU1SensorInstance=0x14
12uiGPU1Usage=0x7000000
12uiGPU1Temp=0x1000000
12uiGPU1Clock=0x6000000

Each GPU has it's own categories.

Here are a few examples of what corresponds with what.

Also, you need Speedfan for coretemps to work, and HWiNFO for Volatges, including their plugins. I linked to both in the description. Plugin for HWiNFO is included with the skin, and plugin for Speedfan should be included in Rainmeter.

I'm not sure with regards to UPTIME, as I made it in 2160p Resolution with 200% scaling. Try modifying the H, W and X, Y Values in the skin .ini...

I just checked. Running at 1080P with 0% scaling, everything sits where it supposed to. Look at your scaling.

Also, you may have to download the HWiNFO Rainmeter Skin and use the Shared Memory exe to find the appropriate values for your hardware, then update the voltage .ini to match.
